HISTORY OF FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION MALAYSIA

The first football established in Malaysia came from British on 1905. During the 19th century it became one of the famous games in Malaysia. In 1921, all nations were shaped and the match between the states that had began Malaysia. Firstly, the competition’s name is HMS Malaya Cup and renamed it Malaysia Cup in 1963.
During 1926, Selangor Amateur Football was established and 10 years after that day Selangor Amateur Football was formed. In 1926 also Malaysia Football Association ( MFA ) was formed with the Football Association of Perak, the Football Association of Selangor, the Football Association of Negeri Sembilan, the Football Association of Malacca and the Singapore Amateur Football Association.
During 1933, Sir Andrew Caldecott was the first FAM president when MFA was revived to form the Football Association of Malaysia ( FAM ). The based on the first FAM established at Singapore then moved to Malaya with A.R. Singham becoming the first Asian secretary in 1941.
Tunku Abdul Rahman become the first president of FAM as he was the first minister of Malaysia during 1951. The FAM was inducted as one of 14 founding members of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in 1954, before becoming a full-fledged member of FIFA two years later
